Cider Route

It was a rainy afternoon when we stopped at this apple farm on the Cider Route in Normandy in northern France. The owner of the farm was more than happy to talk with us about their cellars and wine. Of course we had to invest in a few souvenir bottles. The Route follows a sort of circular path down 40 kilometers of winding country roads bordered by apple orchards and horse farms. The rounded landscape, with its chateaus, manors, half-timbered houses and apple orchards, provides endless enchanting scenes.

Honfleur

Honfleur is a village located in Normandy, in northwestern France. It is especially known for its old, picturesque port, surrounded by a beautiful little 17th-century harbor. It has been painted many times by artists, including Monet, and landscape painters, such as Boudin. It's a magical place; we felt transported to one of Europe's ancient cities.
